Notre Dame football vs Marshall: Bold predictions in Week 2

Tobias Merriweather and Kevin Bauman hit receiving milestones.

Tobias Merriweather, the Freshman wide receiver from West Camas, Washington, did not play against the Ohio State Buckeyes. This week, the former 4-star recruit will chalk some playing time and first reception against Marshall.

This might happen in meaningful minutes or garbage time at the conclusion of Saturday’s contest. Regardless, Rees needs Merriweather to play. Wide Receivers Joe Wilkins and Deion Colzie are unlikely to see the field against the Herd. This is a perfect time for Merriweather to break onto the field.

Last week, Notre Dame tight end Kevin Bauman made a spectacular 22-yard reception against the Buckeyes. With significant attention being paid to All-American tight end Michael Mayer, Bauman will receive favorable matchups including in the red-zone.

Due to these matchups, he will land in the end zone for the first time on Saturday.
