The Notre Dame football team takes on Cal in Week 3, and here are five reasons the Irish will blow out the Golden Bears in this one.

The time has come for the Notre Dame football team to finally get win No. 1 on the 2022 season, and they will do so this weekend at home against Cal. The Golden Bears come into this game with a perfect record, but the Irish should be able to take care of business in front of the home crowd, especially after a bad loss in Week 2.

Here, we look at why the Irish will not only win on Saturday but blow out the Golden Bears.

OK, so last weekend the Irish were at home too, but this weekend has a different feel, especially with Manti Te’o back in the building. The Irish suffered a devastating home loss in Week 2, one that crushed their CFP hopes, so I believe this will be a team that is more relaxed and playing behind a rowdy crowd on Saturday.

The Irish are not likely to lose back-to-back home games, especially in games where they go into it as the favorite, so Marcus Freeman and his staff should get the win against the Golden Bears. There have been some injuries, and some players have yet to show their true colors this season, but on Saturday, they iron out the wrinkles and get it done.
