The Notre Dame football team takes on the UNC Tar Heels in Week 4, and here is what the weather looks like, and possible players who will be out.

The Notre Dame football team will hit the road in Week 4, traveling to Chapel Hill to take on the North Carolina Tar Heels. UNC has gotten off to a fast start this season thanks to an explosive offense, one that the Irish defense could have trouble with this afternoon inside Kenan Stadium.

For the Irish, they turned to Drew Pyne this past weekend against Cal, as starting quarterback Tyler Buchner was lost for the season against Marshall. Pyne played well for the Irish, as they notched win No. 1 for head coach Marcus Freeman, the first of hopefully, many.

Here, we take a look at some key injury notes, as well as what the weather should look like today inside Kenan Stadium.

Notre Dame football at UNC: Injury report

The Irish are relatively healthy going into this one, and have no significant injuries to speak of going up against a tough UNC team. The Tar Heels, on the other hand, got incredible news in terms of their injured players, as star wideout Josh Downs is expected to return to the lineup.

Downs is a potential first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, so getting him back could prove huge for North Carolina in this one.

Notre Dame football at UNC: Weather report

No issues with the weather on this glorious Saturday afternoon, as the Irish and Tar Heels, will play in mid-70s weather for the most part. There is less than a ten percent chance of rain, so when it comes to the weather being a factor in this one, do not count on it.

The Irish hit their bye week after this matchup, so getting a win before some time off will do them well in terms of their confidence moving forward. Notre Dame football is much better than they have presented themselves to be this season, and a convincing victory over UNC could be just what the doctor ordered to get this season back on track.
