The Notre Dame football team takes on Stanford in Week 7 of the 2022 college football season, and here is our early prediction for the matchup.

On Saturday night, the Notre Dame football team will look to run their winning streak to four games, as they return home to take on the Stanford Cardinal. Last weekend, they traveled to the desert to take on No. 16 BYU inside Allegiant Stadium and came away with the victory in convincing fashion.

Now, they look to continue their winning ways, and to do so, they will have to beat an old rival in the Cardinal. The Irish are definitely trending in the right direction heading into this Week 7 matchup and could be peaking at the perfect time in their schedule.

Here, we look at the early odds and prediction for this matchup.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Irish are big-time favorites in this matchup, as they are currently giving 15.5 points to the Cardinal to start the week. The over/under for this contest is set at 52.5, so it is clear that the oddsmakers expect a ton of offense, and for most of it to come from the Irish.

If you bet the Irish on the money line, you won’t make any bang for your buck, as they are currently -880. On the other hand, if the Cardinal somehow pull off this victory, you would net a return of +580. As we inch closer to this game and put out our Best Bets piece later on this week, it is possible there will be a spread, based on injuries and who is available.

The Irish have passed two big tests their last two times out, beating a good UNC team on the road, and then decimating the No. 16 team in the country at a neutral site. On Saturday night, they return to what should be a rocking Notre Dame home crowd, and that could spell trouble for the Cardinal.

With the way the Irish are rolling on both sides of the ball, this one could get out of hand early.

The Irish have been big favorites in the past this season, and faltered, even at home. That won’t be the case on Saturday night, as the Irish seem to have found the right recipe, and could be in for a special run the rest of the way.
