The Notre Dame football team takes on UNLV in Week 8, and here is the injury and weather report for this matchup inside Notre Dame Stadium.

The Notre Dame football team will take on the UNLV Rebels for the first time in school history in Week 8, as they look to get their season back on track. For the Irish, this has been a roller coaster of a season, as they lost two to start the year, including a bad one vs Marshall, and then went on a three-game winning streak.

With the season looking to be saved, they played host to Stanford in primetime last weekend, only to lose to a down-Cardinal team, 16-14. That should be a wake-up call for Marcus Freeman and this Irish program, as they are dangerously close to finishing the year with a record below .500.

Here, we take a look at the weather and injury report for this matchup against UNLV.

Notre Dame football: Weather Report

The weather certainly will not be a factor in this game, as the temperatures are expected to be in the mid-70s during the game according to weather.com. It will be a nice and sunny day inside Notre Dame Stadium for this matchup, so look for the offenses to try and exploit the defense through the air, and on the ground.

Notre Dame football: Injury Report

The big injury news when it comes to this game revolved around the UNLV Rebels, as it was unclear whether or not Doug Brumfield would play in this game. As of this piece, Brumfield is still a game-time decision, and without him, the Rebels’ offense is terrible, averaging seven points a game the last two times out.

For the most part, the Irish are healthy, and should dominate this one from the kickoff.

Notre Dame football cannot lose to UNLV, because if they do, there will be even louder rumblings about Freeman and this coaching staff. They have to come out and punch the Rebels in the mouth, establishing dominance, while putting UNLV away before they even have a chance to make an impact in this game.
