The Notre Dame football team hits the road in Week 9 to take on the Syracuse Orange, their second ranked opponent in the last three games.

The Notre Dame football team will kick off a tough two-game stretch on the road in Week 9, as they head to upstate New York to take on the Syracuse Orange. The Irish go into the matchup with a 4-3 record and are fresh off a convincing victory over the UNLV Rebels the last time out.

Their opponent in Week 9 is the ranked Syracuse Orange, a team that has been surprisingly good all season long. The Orange went into last weekend undefeated, and nearly pulled off a shocking victory over the Clemson Tigers, showing that they can play with anybody in the ACC this season.

Notre Dame football can make a real statement with their second victory over a ranked opponent this season and set the stage for what could be a strong run to close Marcus Freeman’s first full season on the sidelines as head coach.
