While many well-wishes have been sent coach Rees’ direction regarding his new opportunity, many fans were worried about losing Hartman or recruits. However, given a few social media posts over the weekend, it looks like Hartman is as locked in as ever with Notre Dame football.

It was a tough weekend for the men’s and women’s basketball teams as they fell to ACC rivals. The Notre Dame men’s basketball team got handed a brutal loss to Wake Forest on Saturday as they fell by a score of 81-64. It was an offensive struggle for the Irish as Nate Laszewski scored 18 and nobody else on the squad had more than 12. The team shot 38% from the field and 19% from deep, which rarely gets the job done at any level of basketball.

The Notre Dame women’s basketball team faced stiff competition yesterday as they squared off against Duke but lost 57-52. In another game where an Irish basketball team struggled on offense, Maddy Westbeld led the squad with 15 points and 7 boards. The women’s team is still in great shape, while the men’s team will need an ACC tournament win to make some postseason noise.

Again, while most people have wished nothing but the best for Tommy Rees and his career, you can’t blame fans for being upset. That said, most fans hope Hartman stays locked in and the current recruits can still see why they chose Notre Dame. I don’t see any recruits leaving over an offensive coordinator, but nothing is out of the question.

There was speculation on social media that Hartman could follow Rees; it looks like he’s locked in with Notre Dame

Stay tuned later today and in the coming days. We’ll start with some write-ups on potential offensive coordinator candidates in a few hours, starting with Joe Moorhead. Regardless of what happens, it’s an exciting time for the program as they choose a new member to add to the staff.

Next. Joe Brady an OC candidate?. dark
