With the relatively quiet recruiting trail for the Notre Dame football program, several huge targets have set up visits to South Bend. While the Irish have “Pot of Gold Day” today, hosting some big-time class of 2025 targets, 2024 should be the big focus. That said, Anthony Carrie and Aaron Scott will visit the program in the coming months.

Per the guys at Irish Breakdown, Anthony Carrie is scheduled to visit Notre Dame football between June 9th and 11th. Carrie, one of the top running backs in the nation, ranked 11th according to the 247Sports composite rankings, is a stud in the backfield.

"“Ability to scoot past would-be tacklers with his initial burst after evading them with swift side steps and explosive lateral cuts is by far his biggest strength at this stage in his development.” – Andrew Ivins, 247Sports recruiting analyst"

According to a graphic from an On3 Twitter account, Aaron Scott’s trip is right around the corner, as he plans on visiting the Irish on April 1st. Scott is ranked as the 11th overall prospect, according to On3. I’m not the biggest believer in On3’s rankings, and 247Sports has him at 243rd in the nation. I’m putting him somewhere in the middle but certainly within the top 200.

Regardless, Scott is a big-time cornerback prospect that the Notre Dame football program would be fortunate to land. Out of Springfield, Ohio, Scott is currently predicted to Ohio State vis 247Sports analysts. Nothing is guaranteed this early in the recruiting process, and it bodes well for the Irish getting him on campus.

The first step to landing any coveted recruit is getting them on campus to see if they can picture being there for 3-4 years. From there, it’s on the coaches to build the relationships and close the deal.
