Notre Dame football fans are finding it a bit therapeutic to sit back and watch LSU fans having to deal with the mess of a head coach that is Brian Kelly.

With the win over the Duke Bluedevils, the Notre Dame football season is officially back on track. That’s the good news.

For some Fighting Irish fans, the icing on the cake is the way that LSU has struggled out of the gate. Some are taking special joy in the Tigers’ apparently being eliminated for any chance at the college football playoff with their loss to Ole Miss this past weekend.

Others are simply well aware of the pain that LSU fans are feeling. And some are making it clear that they tried to warn those in Baton Rouge who were excited about the Brian Kelly hire, that it could go wrong, quickly.

Among those pointing out that Notre Dame football appears to be better off with Marcus Freeman instead of Brian Kelly is a Twitter account that goes by the name College Football Watcher. On Monday afternoon the account posted a series of tweets showing that the Fighting Irish appear to have gotten the better head coach.

Another Twitter user decided to be a bit more direct about how LSU fans behaved when Kelly was first hired away from South Bend.

One Irish fan even dug up a tweet taunting them from last year, back when LSU was getting hot and Notre Dame football was struggling a bit.

Notre Dame football fans are far from the only ones who are talking negatively about the LSU head coach. There are plenty of Tigers fans who are more than a little frustrated after a 55-49 defeat.

Things can change quickly in this sport. A month from now, Notre Dame might be struggling to record wins while LSU is on a nice little hot streak.

Until that actually happens, though, Notre Dame football fans will just sit back and enjoy what’s happening in South Bend and Baton Rouge.
