Notre Dame Fighting Irish faithful have been waiting and hoping for Nolan Ziegler to make his comeback and it’s possible it happens Saturday.

Redshirt freshman linebacker Nolan Ziegler missed the first half of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish’s season, as well as fall camp dealing with a personal issue dealing with mental health. Now the Notre Dame football team is hoping that he might be back as soon as the Louisville game.

Ziegler has been back at practice and ramping up quickly.

“It’s great to have him back,” linebacker Marist Liufau told the South Bend Tribune after Tuesday’s practice. “I’m happy that he’s back with us, back around us and in practice. I think it’s great for him. It allows him to get better.”

Ziegler likely won’t get many snaps on defense this weekend, if he does come back, but the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are planning for him to play on special teams. If he makes it on the field at all against Louisville, it would be a big win for Ziegler personally and could help the Irish to win against the Cardinals.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish land 5-star commit

It might be football season now but the Fighting Irish are gearing up for basketball season as well. And as a way to celebrate that season’s tipoff being around the corner, the women’s basketball team grabbed itself one of the best recruits in the 2024 class.

Kate Koval, a prospect that is the 5th best player in ESPN recruiting rankings announced she’s going to be going to college in South Bend. That’s a big boost for a program trying to get to the top of the heap.

Tight End U

The recent explosion on the scene by tight end Mitchell Evans has Notre Dame Fighting Irish coaches once again talking about how this is the program that can send people to the NFL.

The program can allow them to be the best tight ends in the game. And offensive coordinator wants everyone to know that “if you want to be a tight end you come to Notre Dame”
