The top Notre Dame football commit of the 2025 class is trying to make sure even more talent eventually heads to South Bend.

Notre Dame football is rolling right now. It’s coming off a big rally against the Duke Bluedevils. It’s heading into a top-notch tilt against the Louisville Cardinals. And it’s 2025 recruiting class is currently ranked third in the country.

That particular recruiting ranking is helped quite a bit by the recent commitment of the top quarterback in the class, Deuce Knight. Knight committed to the Fighting Irish just a couple of weeks ago but he’s already working plenty hard to bring more talent to South Bend with him.

The top 2025 quarterback recently posted on social media, showing he has the werewithal and knowledge of how to do a spot of peer recruiting.

“What y’all boys waiting on?” he wrote on Twitter or X or whatever you want to call it.

The “boys” he was asking that question of were specifically called out in his tweet.

Talyn Taylor, a 4-star wide receiver from Geneva, Illinois was one of those targeted. Ethan Long, a 4-star defensive back from Connecticut who is the top player in the state for 2025 was another.

Jerome Bettis Jr was another of Knight’s Notre Dame football targets. The son of Hall of Fame great, Jerome Bettis Sr has already gone on record saying that he likes what Deuce Knight has to offer. Derek Meadows, another 4-star receiver out of Bishop Gorman, Mark Zackery a defensive back who is the best player in Indiana, and JaDon Blair, a 4-star safety out of North Carolina rounded out the group.

Notre Dame football commit doing serious peer recruiting

Having someone as talented as Knight working overtime to get talented teammates to town is always a plus for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Even if Notre Dame football doesn’t reel them all in, there’s a decent number of those already thought to be leaning the Irish way. Having the guy who could be leading the team in a few years is a massive lift.
