Social media reacts to Notre Dame football’s win over USC
Notre Dame football won a big one Saturday night against a USC Trojans team with dreams of the playoffs. Afterward, social media had some things to say.
The Notre Dame football team got itself a massive win on Saturday. The USC Trojans came to town with a 6-0 record and an offense that was amongst the best in college football.
The 48-20 victory over former Heisman hopeful Caleb Williams and the rest of the Trojans seemingly cured the Irish of a lot of their ills. Right at the top of the list is that a fanbase that wasn’t particularly happy about the job Marcus Freeman was doing is quite a bit happier these days.
On the other end of that spectrum, there are USC fans who thought they were shoo-ins for a 7-0 start to the 2023 campaign. If there’s a lot of joy in South Bend, the certainly can’t be said for those in LA who thought that Williams would indeed be the top contender for the Heisman for the second straight season.
The Irish forced Williams to do something that he’d never done in a college football game before. He threw three interceptions. He had two of those by one player. Xavier Watts had himself quite the game.
One thing that can be said about Saturday night’s game. There were plenty of reactions from everyone.
Notre Dame football reactions to the win
Former Notre Dame football quarterback turned broadcaster Brady Quinn was certainly happy to see his former team pull off the big win.
Quinn was not the only one who was quite happy about the Notre Dame football team pulling off the victory.
USC Trojans reactions to the loss
While Notre Dame football fans were quite excited about the victory, USC fans were having themselves a bad night.
It’s safe to say Notre Dame football fans are not only happy about the win but also at how sad their rival fanbase is this Sunday morning.
