Ex-Notre Dame Football star receiver Chase Claypool finally began his road back to being one of the top weapons in the NFL on Sunday with a big first.
There was a time when the former Notre Dame Football star looked like he might make some noise as one of the best receivers in the NFL. Then Chase Claypool hit a bit of a rough spot.
This season, Claypool has barely played, but it looks like things might be turning around. That’s because the former Fighting Irish talent finally got on the field for his new team. He had his first catch as a member of the Miami Dolphins and it looks like more than a few people expect things to get bigger and better from here. on.
However, it wasn’t just that Claypool got his first catch for the Dolphins, he also showed that he can be useful for Miami even when he’s got the ball in his hand.
The ex-Notre Dame football player had a tremendous key block on a crucial 4th & Short screen to Tyreek Hill. His movement after he made his catch to get 15 yards also showed that he’s still got all that talent he showed off with the Pittsburgh Steelers in his rookie season.
On the year, he has just 4 catches for 51 yards but with the Dolphins heading for a playoff spot and still plenty of season to go, it looks like he could get some more regular playing time.
