Notre Dame Football’s big win over Pittsburgh and rise to the Top 12 has convinced some that the Irish are headed for a New Year’s Six bowl again.

Just which bowl the Notre Dame Football team is going to be playing in this year has been an open question for a good portion of the season. There was a time when the Fighting Irish were still in the running for the playoffs.

Then the team was looking like at the very least, it would make a New Years Six bowl game. However, the loss to Louisville made some people think NY6 game hopes were over. However, it appears that a blowout win over the Pittsburgh Panthers has them back in the conversation for one of the big bowls that isn’t part of the playoffs.

The good news on Monday is that it appears there are more people than not who believe Notre Dame Football is headed to a big bowl. That’s a heck of a step for Marcus Freeman who continues to put his stamp on the Fighting Irish program.

ESPN’s latest bowl projections are split on the magnitude of the games that the Fighting Irish will play in this postseason.

Notre Dame Football in the Peach Bowl?

It turns out that ESPN’s Kyle Bonagura is now the outlier when it comes to bowl games that Notre Dame Football might appear in. He’s got the Irish playing the Pop Tarts bowl against an Oklahoma State team that has certainly looked better of late.

Meanwhile, Mark Schlabach has the Irish going up against the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Peach Bowl. The Peach Bowl, of course, is a NY6 bowl game and one that would be a big enough of a bowl to keep Golden Domer fans happy.

Meanwhile, Bret McMurphy of the Action Network also has Notre Dame Football headed to the Peach Bowl. That kind of agreement should make Notre Dame fans plenty happy.
