In great news for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, four-star quarterback Teddy Jarrard has reclassified from the class of 2027 to the class of 2026.
Jarrard, who committed to the Irish in July, is a top-25 quarterback and the No. 34 prospect out of the state of Georgia. When he committed, the young QB chose Notre Dame over other powerhouse programs like the Georgia Bulldogs, Clemson Tigers, and more.
Now, instead of coming to South Bend in a year and a half, Jarrard could be just a few months away from joining the Fighting Irish.

Jarrard joins an extremely high-level recruiting class by moving to 2026, adding himself to a group that ranks second in the national recruiting rankings (and, unsurprisingly, first among independents).
He isn't the only quarterback in the class, joining the ranks of Noah Grubbs, a three-star QB from Florida, who also could join the Fighting Irish as soon as the spring semester.

Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman's upcoming class is one of the highest recruiting classes in program history and is a massive improvement from an already impressive class of 2025, which ranked 12th in the country.
The class is headlined by five-star EDGE Rodney Dunham, five-star cornerback Khary Adams, and five-star tight end Ian Premer, alongside 25 other blue-chip prospects who pledged their allegiance to the Fighting Irish.
Freeman added mounds of talent on both sides of the ball and, once again, has set up Notre Dame to have success for years into the future.
Notre Dame's class of 2027, which Jarrard left for the preceding class, ranks fifth in the country and already has eight commits, including four-star cornerback Xavier Hasan and four-star interior offensive lineman James Halter.
