Notre Dame fans have quite possibly seen running back Jeremiyah Love play in Notre Dame Stadium for the final time, and that includes in the playoff. The Fighting Irish received their fourth College Football Playoff rankings Tuesday night, and for the third week in a row, they are ranked No. 9, thus proving they could have met their ceiling.
If that is the case, that means there will be no playoff game in South Bend, but instead Notre Dame would be hitting the road for the CFP. That means if Love truly does decide to go to the NFL after this season, fans have seen him play at home for the last time in his Notre Dame career.
After an absolute thrashing of Syracuse on Saturday, Love was interviewed on the field by the Fighting Irish media, and it was shown on the big screen. Apparently, Love is still unsure about how the fans feel about him, but he definitely doesn't have to worry about that.
The Notre Dame faithful will always be grateful for Jeremiyah Love

You don’t have to worry about that, J Love. Notre Dame nation absolutely loves ya. pic.twitter.com/gWSfQf6D80
If Jeremiyah Love thought the fans didn't love him before, they certainly do now. It is one thing for a player to just expect fans to love them, but it is another when a player is so humble, he says what Love said after the Syracuse game on Saturday.
"I love all the fans," Love said. "I hope everyone loves me too."
There is no question that every Notre Dame fan loves Jeremiyah Love, not just for how he plays on the field, but for the type of person he is off the field. Love is one of those players who has always strived to get better, no matter what, both on and off the field.
Love didn't have to come back this season; he could have taken his talents to the NFL, but he wanted to come back and get better, and also help Notre Dame finish the job this time in the National Championship.
The Fighting Irish are one of the scariest teams in college football right now, playing their best at the right time, and a lot of that is thanks to the run game Love provides. Of course, the fans love you, too, Jeremiyah Love, and they always will.
