Jeremiyah Love's humbleness proves why he is such a fan favorite

Even when he is in line to potentially win the Heisman Trophy, Jeremiyah Love doesn't want all of the attention on him.

Jeremiyah Love has proven that he is truly one of the best, if not the best, players to go through the Notre Dame football program. He certainly is going down as the best running back to ever grace the field in South Bend, holding multiple records, and now is likely to potentially be the first Heisman Trophy winner at Notre Dame since the 1980s.

Love was named a Heisman finalist earlier this week and is now officially in New York City awaiting the ceremony that is set to take place Saturday, December 13, at 7:00 p.m. EST on ABC. Notre Dame posted a video of when Love found out he was a finalist, and in the most Jeremiyah Love fashion, he chose to be humble above all else.

"I don’t like the spotlight being on me. It’s too much," Love told head coach Marcus Freeman over the phone when giving him the good news.

Well, we hate to break it to Love, but he is going to have a lot of attention on him over the next few months, especially if he ends up winning the Heisman Trophy. Even if he doesn't win the award, he is still being projected at a Top 10 draft pick for the 2026 NFL Draft and has the chance to make a real difference with any team that decides to take him.

CBS Sports projects Jeremiyah Love to be a Top 10 NFL Draft pick

With the college football season coming to an official close in just a few weeks, it is time to start looking ahead to the NFL Draft. While Love hasn't officially announced he is going to the NFL, it would shock a lot of people if he ended up staying at Notre Dame for another season.

CBS Sports has officially begun releasing its mock drafts, and Love is projected to be a very high draft pick in many of them. Experts have Love going around the No. 10 spot, either right before or right after, to the Cincinnati Bengals, Minnesota Vikings, or Arizona Cardinals as of right now.

Each of those three teams could seriously use a dynamic runner like Love on their offense, and he has the ability to make a difference for all of those teams.
