Should Notre Dame football fans be worried about predictions that 5-star running back Kemon Spell is headed to Georgia? At least one Fighting Irish recruiting analyst thinks fears are misplaced, especially this time of year.
On3's Mike Singer has been one of those who has been on top of Spell's recruitment from the beginning. In fact, he's been one of the most conservative analysts as far as picking the top running back in the 2027 class going to South Bend.
While Singer believes that Spell has Notre Dame high on his list, he fought the urge to log predictions that the running back would commit to Marcus Freeman and company after his visit to see ND take on USC. However, he's also not joining the parade of people who now think he's headed to the Bulldogs.
I dont think Notre Dame fans need to stress right now 🤷♂️ https://t.co/V3GNrv6Lii

Why one Notre Dame analyst believes the Irish are still in strong position for Kemon Spell
Singer kept it short and sweet on social media, simply saying, "I dont think Notre Dame fans need to stress right now."
That doesn't mean that fans won't get worried about Kemon Spell. However, it's clear there's a couple of factors that should make fans feel better.
Right at the top of the list is Notre Dame running backs coach Ja'Juan Seider. He was coaching the same position at Penn State when the Nittany Lions secured the commitment of Spell. Once he moved to South Bend, analysts believed the running back would do the same.
There's also the fact that since Kemon Spell is a 2027 recruit, even if he commits to Georgia soon, Notre Dame will have more than a year to try and flip him. The Fighting Irish have already laid good groundwork. It shouldn't be all that hard to remind him of that, even if he falls in love with the SEC power for now.
