With each passing day, Notre Dame fans have to be so happy Brian Kelly is not the head coach in South Bend and Marcus Freeman is in the position. After Kelly left the Irish in November of 2021, there was a wonder who would come in and be able to lead the storied program, and Freeman has done nothing but prove he was the right man for the job since.
Ever since Kelly left, he drove the LSU football program even more into the ground than it already was, was fired by the Tigers, and now can't even land a job anywhere else. Kelly has been reduced to doing interviews with podcasts and TV appearances in order to stay relevant in the college football world, and it is just sad.
Even LSU fans have to be getting tired of Kelly, especially after his latest comments on new head coach Lane Kiffin and his chances of winning it all with the Tigers.

In an interview with USA Today, former Notre Dame and LSU head coach Brian Kelly was asked about his thoughts on now LSU head coach Lane Kiffin's chances of winning a National Championship in Baton Rouge, and his answer could not have made him look worse.
"I think so," Kelly said. "That wasn't yes... Here's why I would say yes, okay, I think that they have invested in NIL for him. They have given him the opportunity."
Kelly went on, and the more he talked, the more he has to have LSU fans rolling their eyes.
"There's a lot of good things moving in that direction. The recruiting classes are really in solid shape. And I think Lane's a really smart football coach, so I think it's in a really good place, and I believe because there's an investment in that NIL, he's going to be able to be Lane Kiffin.”
Notre Dame fans know this feeling all too well thanks to Kelly and all that he has said about Notre Dame. LSU invested the same way in Kelly when it came to NIL that they are now in Kiffin. The difference is that Kelly is not the same kind of coach that Kiffin is. If he were, then he would still be the head coach in Baton Rouge.
At this point, it is time for Kelly to move on from college football and find something else to talk about because he is just annoying both LSU and Notre Dame fans even more.
