Notre Dame received some visitors this week, and no, it wasn't potential recruits, but instead it was former NFL players Will Compton and Taylor Lewan for their podcast "Bussin' With the Boys." The two joined in at practices to see what a day at Notre Dame is like, but then they got to kick it back with head coach Marcus Freeman at his own home.

Well, they weren't doing much relaxing as Freeman had the guys playing in a basketball knockout game with other Irish players. Freeman has his own in-home basketball court and got Lewan and Compton out to his house to play a little friendly game, but it is clear the competition was real.

Freeman could even be seen trying to make sure he had the ball he liked to shoot whenever it was his turn. The Notre Dame coach didn't last too long in the game, though, as Compton got him out on his own court.

A few Notre Dame players joined in on the friendly competition, like new transfer Frrancus Brewu, Sullivan Absher, Christian Gray, and Tae Johnson.

While the video is certainly fun to watch, seeing everyone have a good time, there is something behind it as well. Freeman talks a lot about how he wants his guys to be competitive and have that drive to win, and here, he is showing the exact thing he preaches to his players.

It is easy for a coach to say things and want things from their players, but when they can actually walk the walk instead of just talk the talk, it means more to the guys they are coaching. Freeman is a competitor, and he has always said he is one, and this video just proves it even more.

It is a good assumption that this wasn't the only game of knockout played, as Freeman probably wanted some revenge for getting out early. It is great to see the guys having fun adn enjoying time with their head coach before the season starts in a couple of months.
