Another week, another carriage dispute that could get in the way of Notre Dame football fans watching their favorite team continue its march to the College Football Playoffs. This time around, it's FuboTV and NBCUniversal who are at odds, and that puts the Irish game against Syracuse in danger for those who subscribe to the streaming cable service.
This comes just a week after YouTube finally solved its own feud with ABC/Disney that left people scrambling for other formats in order to watch games that were on ESPN and ABC. Now, there's another headache. The irony is that Irish fans might have to look elsewhere after turning to FuboTV during the last carriage dispute. So where can they turn to now?
Notre Dame is featured on Peacock
The most dependable place to turn for the Fighting Irish vs Syracuse on Saturday afternoon. Considering that Notre Dame has a deal worked out with NBC to carry all its games, that includes being broadcast on Peacock.
The problem here is that the service is not currently allowing any free trial, so there's no signing up, watching the game, and then canceling in hopes that FuboTV will get its issues sorted out.
Other options for Notre Dame fans during the NBC blackout on FuboTV
There is, of course, the option to sign up for YouTube TV. While that might seem ironic, unlock Peacock, the service does offer a few days for a free trial, as long as the user didn't have a YTTV account before.
Hulu Live has the same kind of options and also offers a free trial, as long as no one has had an account with them as well. For now, FuboTV is the only way that Notre Dame fans won't be able to watch the game against Syracuse.
