Notre Dame is currently on a three-game win streak after falling behind 0-2 to start the season and feeling like its back was against the wall. The Fighting Irish knew that another loss, especially so early on in the season, would doom their chances at making the College Football Playoff, so they put their heads down and got to work.

The Fighting Irish's 0-2 start now is not looking too bad as other teams, who also have two losses now, are making Notre Dame look pretty good. Notre Dame at least has the argument that they lost to two teams who are currently in the Top 5 of the AP Top 25.

However, if Notre Dame drops its game against NC State this week, it certainly could kiss the College Football Playoff goodbye. With the defense looking better as the weeks go on, it is just putting it all together and playing complementary football, which the Fighting Irish are beginning to do.
