Notre Dame currently has the No. 4 recruiting class in 2027, according to 247Sports, and head coach Marcus Freeman isn't done adding talent. Freeman has added talent in many positions, many on the defensive side of the ball, but he is now after one key position on the offense.
Four-star quarterback Davin Davidson is one recruit many programs are after as the No. 11-ranked quarterback in the class, according to Rivals. He has recently narrowed down his top eight schools, and Freeman and the Irish made the cut.

Notre Dame is battling many major programs for 4-star quarterback Davin Davidson
Freeman has yet to get a commitment from a quarterback in the Class of 2027, and he has a chance to get one out of Davin Davidson. The elite QB is choosing from many SEC programs as well as a few ACC programs.
Notre Dame will be battling Florida, Kentucky, Auburn, Georgia, Mississippi State, Miami, and Virginia Tech. Freeman has proven in the past that he knows how to beat out other major programs for a top prospect.
With quarterback Teddy Jarrard reclassifying to the Class of 2026, Freeman could get a really great player out of Davidson and have someone who can learn from a much more experienced CJ Carr by 2027 and have a solid backup to Jarrard after that.
With official visits coming up soon, Freeman will hope to land one for Davidson and prove why Notre Dame is the best program for him to pick, even with other quarterbacks ahead of him in the pecking order.
