One of the more interesting games on the Notre Dame football schedule this fall is easily when the Fighting Irish visit the Arkansas Razorbacks. It’s not all that interesting because it promises to be a clash of the Titans (the pigs are mediocre at best), but it is a game we don’t get to see that often. Unfortunately, when we see it, the kickoff is a noon game.
I’m sure the game was set at noon for plenty of reasons. Not the least of which is indeed that Arkansas isn’t all that good, the Notre Dame will almost certainly be a favorite by a couple of touchdowns.
Noon kickoff for Notre Dame-Arkansas draws social-media ire and 'worst-slot' complaints
However, plenty of Notre Dame football fans aren’t thrilled about the time slot, and they let it be known on social media.
“Lame!” wrote one fan, before admitting that there are some rather big games that day. It stands to reason with tilts like Oregon vs Penn STate, and Alabama vs Georgia, that the Irish are going to take a back season.
Lame!

But with Oregon-Penn St, Alabama-Georgia, & LSU-Ole Miss that day...
Not surprised https://t.co/7SWYYLzucZ
Other Blue and Gold fans simply weren’t all that happy about the broadcast crew and format they’d have to deal with. The time slot was also not the most beloved.
I don’t like noon games, but go Irish

Other fans were very straightforward. They simply hate noon games. No matter who the opponent.
Did ND lose a bet? Rough start time

Some fans wondered if the Notre Dame football team had lost a bet.
No matter what time the game starts (and noon does seem weirdly low-key for a matchup that will get a ton of eyeballs), it will be an interesting matchup for the Notre Dame football team and offer at least one Irish player the chance to take on his old program.
