With conference tournaments officially over, it's time to see where teams from the ACC will go regarding the regionals. Those sites have been announced ahead of Monday morning's official selection show. Obviously, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are not hosting one, as they're still waiting to see if they even go to a regional.
One of the most interesting tidbits is that for the first time in quite a while, the ACC regular-season champion, Georgia Tech, will not host a regional. That's despite the Yellowjackets winning 40 games in the regular season.
It appears that losing early on in the ACC tournament hurt Georgia Tech quite a bit. Two ACC schools will get to host regionals, such as Chapel Hill and Clemson, South Carolina, which are two of the 16 sites for the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish waiting for news on possible regional bid
While most experts believe the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are on the outside looking in at the regionals, nothing is official until Monday morning's selection show. Until the Golden Domers are told their season is over, they'll hold onto hope that they somehow get an at-large bid.
"We can't just sit here and say goodbye and hug it out," Irish coach Shawn Stiffler told the South Bend Tribune earlier this week. "We have to go through about six grueling days here, it looks like."
Those grueling days are just about over. Stiffler and company hope it ends with excellent news, even if the most optimistic amongst them aren't holding out hope.
Oregon Ducks stand in the way of Marcus Freeman on recruiting trail
There have been few head coaches who are as hot as Marcus Freeman is on the recruiting trail right now. He might even get hotter before June comes to an end.
However, the Oregon Ducks look like the front-runner when it comes to one 2027 prospect in 4-star edge Troy Bowens. Freeman will need to overcome Dan Lanning and his staff. Who are also plenty hot recruiting-wise.
North Carolina wins the ACC Conference Tournament
While the Notre Dame Fighting Irish wait to see if they get an at-large bid, the ACC chose its automatic bid on Sunday evening. The North Carolina Tar Heels took home the hardware by clobbering Clemson 14-4. It is UNC's second tournament title in four years, and it seems to have convinced the NCAA that they definitely deserve to host a Regional.
