While the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team is just about ready to start fall camp, Niele Ivey's team is looking towards future teams. To that end, Ivey is making inroads with some very good recruits in the 2026 class.
Ivey is looking to add another talented prospect to join her previous commit, Bella Ragone, on the Notre Dame women's basketball team in power forward Jayda Porter. The 6-foot-3 Missouri native is just behind Ragone in the rankings, as the No. 31 overall player in the cycle, and this weekend officially scheduled her visit to South Bend for September 13.
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are looking to make run with a new-look team this year but they're also looking to make sure that they keep bringing in some of the best talent in the country for their women's basketball program.
Jeremiyah Love is representing the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on the Maxwell Watch List
Notre Dame football running back Jeremiyah Love has been named to the 2025 Maxwell Award Watch list. He is the only representative of the Blue and Gold, and considering he's already a favorite to win the Heisman, he'll have a very good chance of winning.
Should he win, he'll be joining plenty of other Notre Dame football players. Leon Hart (1949), Johnny Lattner (1952 & 1953), Jim Lynch (1966), Ross Browner (1977), Brady Quinn (2006), and Manti Te'o (2012) have all won the award before. Should Love win he'll be the first winner for the Irish in over a decade.
Notre Dame hosting Penn State commit for Texas A&M game
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are on quite the recruiting heater. That heater looks like it will extend into the regular season. The Irish have just locked down an official visit from a 5-star running back who happens to be one of the best players in the 2027 class. Kemon Spell is also a commit to Penn State and it looks like Marcus Freeman is once again taking some shots at James Franklin.
