Junior Notre Dame Fighting Irish cornerback Leonard Moore has been named a member of the 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, which honors 22 college football players and one head coach for their extraordinary commitment to community service.
- As part of the team selection, Moore is now a semifinalist for the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy, presented annually by the Wuerffel Foundation to the FBS player who best combines exemplary community service with leadership and performance on and off the field. Moore is the fourth Notre Dame player in as many years to be named a semifinalist for the award.

- Bill Connelly updated his SP+ ratings after the Week 2 games, and Notre Dame is ranked No. 3 in the SP+ rankings, behind Georgia and Ohio State. But No. 3 overall is just the tip of the iceberg for Marcus Freeman and his crew. Notre Dame is also ranked as the No. 1 offense in the country after the first few weeks of the regular season. It's just another reason to believe the Fighting Irish could be a national title contender.
- The No. 20 Notre Dame Fighting Irish men's soccer team (4-1-2, 1-0-0) finished with a dominant 4-0 win over the Detroit Mercy Titans (1-6-1, 0-2-0) on Tuesday evening at Alumni Stadium. The Irish have now won four straight matches and remain undefeated at Alumni Stadium this season.
- Comments made earlier this week by running backs coach Ja'Juan Seider might suggest that Aneyas Williams will either lose his starting job or see much less playing time unless he becomes significantly more dominant on the ground. Seider said that he thinks Williams is pressing and that watching others do the job might help him.
- Notre Dame and Nebraska will revive a series that dates back to the early 20th century, starting in 2032 and resuming in 2033. The first game will be in Lincoln and the second will be in South Bend. When they kick off the 2032 game, it will be the first time the two teams have faced off since 2001.
- The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed former Notre Dame Fighting Irish LB Jack Kiser to the active roster from the practice squad. He'll likely play in the Jags' Week 2 game against the Denver Broncos.
