The Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team has had quite the run on the recruiting front. And one of the things that has made them so successful is that they have recruited guys who want to win as many football games as possible, but also want to take something away from the school they attend. That's true of the latest commitment that Marcus Freeman and Co. just hauled in in quarterback Teddy Jarrard.

Jarrard recently talked about the culture of Notre Dame and how he felt as though the Irish were very obviously the best fit for him. "I think it's important for me to go into a good culture and I think Notre Dame is a great culture for quarterbacks and all players in general."

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have themselves quite the 2026 class. They're building quite the 2027 class as well. Teddy Jarrard is looking like quite the steal for Freeman and his staff.

Miami Hurricanes named the 'archvillain' for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish

With the difficult schedule the Notre Dame football team has in front of it in 2025, there are plenty of enemies. However, ESPN has pinpointed the one team that counts as its archvillain. The Miami Hurricanes haven't been a thorn in the side of the Irish in quite some time.

They could be a big thorn in 2025, considering that Notre Dame opens the season with them. Should the Irish get handed a loss in their first game, things could go sideways quite quickly.

Paul Finebaum calls Marcus Freeman 'elite'

There's been a lot of talk about whether the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are headed back to the playoffs. While most people believe they will indeed go back to the postseason, the debate is over just how good they'll be when they get there. ESPN's Paul Finebaum thinks they can make some serious noise and in a recent episode of Get Up he said that he thought it was because Marcus Freeman is "elite."
