The Notre Dame Fighting Irish lacrosse team wants the 2026 campaign to be a return to greatness for the program. On Tuesday, the team demonstrated how dedicated it is to that return as it set a school record for goals in its 29-10 win over Bellarmine. The previous record for goals in a game stood for nearly 43 years, as the Irish scored 28 goals against Mount Union on April 9, 1983.

While it was a great day for the lacrosse program on the whole, it was also a heck of a day for several individual Notre Dame players. Brock Behrman's game-high seven points allowed him to set a career high in goals (4) and assists (3). Will Maheras and Jalen Seymour also recorded the first hat tricks of their careers, each totaling three goals on the afternoon.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are now 2-0 on the season and will next take on Georgetown on February 22 at 12:30 pm.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish set to haul in 5-star defensive lineman

Marcus Freeman is on yet another roll on the recruiting front after closing out a stellar 2026 class. There is one defensive lineman that the Notre Dame football team has been targeting on the recruiting trail for quite some time now. Better than that, the Irish have just been predicted to land 5-star defensive lineman Marcus Fakatou. The DL is reclassified from the Class of 2028 to the Class of 2027; however, Notre Dame has been after him since the end of his freshman season.

Jeremiyah Love shooting up the draft boards in the latest Mocks

Jeremiyah Love is the latest running back to get top 10 consideration in the NFL Draft, and that comes while the rest of the running back class is expected to be a little weak. Love has now been predicted to be drafted as early as No. 9 by the Kansas City Chiefs.

Malachi Fields is the second Notre Dame football star projected into the first round

Malachi Fields has seen his draft stock rise rather quickly this offseason. Now, there's at least one draft analyst who believes the Notre Dame Fighting Irish wide receiver will be taken in the first round. Daniel Jeremiah believes the Buffalo Bills will snap up the tall, rangy pass catcher.
