Markus Burton just added insult to injury to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. After spending most of his career in South Bend, the guard entered the transfer portal when it opened last Tuesday. Now he's found his landing spot.

The good news for Burton is that he didn't have to go far. The bad news for Micah Shrewsberry and Co. is that Burton didn't have to go far. One of the best guards in the ACC has moved to the Big Ten and is now with the Indiana Hoosiers.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish knew that Burton was one of many players who entered the Transfer Portal in an exodus. He didn't pull a Cole Certa and transferred to another ACC school, so there is that. However, going to an in-state rival with the Hoosiers is one of those things that's going to stick in the craw of fans if he stays healthy and has a big year with IU.
