Because Marcus Freeman and the Notre Dame football team didn't go to the playoffs or a bowl game, they've been able to focus more on how to reshape the roster and make sure they are a National Championship contender in 2026. The Irish may not be huge players in the portal, but they will almost certainly make some noise.
Some dominoes have already fallen as players have told the media they plan on leaving. Others, like Kenny Minchey, have already left as the portal officially opened on Friday morning.
Notre Dame's transfer portal moves this year will be quite interesting. There aren't a ton of positions of obvious need, but they will almost certainly upgrade here and there. One spot where they're set is at quarterback, and that has to be a nice feeling, considering how many QBs are changing homes. Check out the tracker below, which we'll update with the latest news and moves.

More information on the Transfer Portal:
The Transfer Portal window is open from January 2 through January 16. Unlike previous seasons, this will be the only window for the Notre Dame football team and the rest of the sport. There will not be a second window in the spring. Players must be in the portal before it closes, but can commit at any time. This means there may be some who don't choose their schools until well after January 16.
This post will be consistently updated.
