Elijah Golden hasn't taken a snap for the Notre Dame football team, but he clearly bleeds Blue and Gold through and through. The Cardinal Mooney defensive lineman demonstrated that in his most recent high school game when he showed the Fighting Irish some love and aimed his disdain at the Miami Hurricanes.
Golden is a member of Marcus Freeman's latest recruiting masterpiece. A 4-star signee in the 2026 class, he's clearly excited to get to South Bend and start haunting quarterbacks and running backs. The 6-foot-4, 275-pound defender committed to the Irish over offers from Alabama, Oklahoma, and Virginia Tech among many others this summer.
In another game where he reaked havoc, Golden also voiced his disdain over Notre Dame getting left out of the College Football Playoff and showed who he blamed for their snub.

Notre Dame commit Elijah Golden shows his love for his school, disdain for Miami
In a clip from that recent Cardinal Mooney (Sarasota, Fla.) game, shared on X, Golden flashed an upside-down "U" with his hands and shouted "Miami Weak." It was a not-so-subtle jab at the Hurricanes days after Notre Dame was left out of the College Football Playoff in favor of Miami.
The best part of that move is that the feud between the Irish and the Hurricanes is far from over. And that's even ignoring the ACC scheduling agreement with the school that could get blown up over ND's issues with the ACC.
Notre Dame and Miami will face off in 2026 in a rematch of the game the Irish lost to open the 2025 season. Elijah Golden, being one of the best defenders in the class, could find a way onto the field for that game, scheduled to take place on November 7.
