The Notre Dame football team handled their business against the Virginia Cavaliers with ease. While it took some time to get started, the game was never really in doubt. And when they did get started, nothing seemed ot go wrong for most of the game.
Well, almost nothing. There was the early exit of wide receiver Jaden Greathouse that had Irish fans pretty worried. His injury was serious enough that some thought it might be a thing that stuck with him and the team for a while.
However, on Monday, Notre Dame footbal coach Marcus Freeman delivered the good news. Greathouse isn’t expected to miss the game against Army. While there hasn’t been any clarification on just what the issue was, it was thought to be a shoulder injury of some kind.
Notre Dame football gets big weapon back for Army
There were some signs during the game as well that made it look as though Greathouse was ok. One shot of the sideline showed him moving his injured arm up and down. And it’s possible that had they needed him in the 35-14 win, he could have played.
Greathouse has been a bit under the radar because of an Irish passing game that hasn’t exactly been prolific, Still, he’s second on the team this season in catches with 24 and yards with 327. He trails only Beaux Collins in both those categories.
He also leads the team among those who have more than just a few catches in yards per perception with 13.6 on the year. That he looks to be returning to the field for Notre Dame football vs Army is a big one.
