Jeremiyah Love is leaving Notre Dame for the NFL, but he made clear earlier this week that he would never leave the Fighting Irish for another college team. He also made clear that it's not from a lack of trying from other programs.

Love appeared on the This Is Football podcast and let it be known that after the 2024 season, there were plenty of teams that tried to lure him away from the Irish, despite his never entering the Transfer Portal.

After being asked how exactly other teams contacted him, knowing it was tampering and he was still with Notre Dame, Love said it wasn't at all complicated. In fact, it was very simple, and they just reach out to the player like it's nothing, "Or they try to reach you through somebody else. Coaches, parents, people close to you."

Why Jeremiyah Love stayed with Notre Dame despite outside pressure

When the star running back was asked if he just said "thanks but no thanks, he laid out how he responded to the numerous offers to pull him away from the Fighting Irish.

"Thanks, but no thanks ... I mean, for me, I mean, I paid no attention to it to be honest. You know, I was with the Irish. I mean, you hit me up, I ain't responding. I'm locked in with Notre Dame, I was locked in with Coach Free, and yeah, I wasn't paying attention to it for real."

It's been clear for a while that there was a special bond between Jeremiyah Love and Marcus Freeman. There was also a special tie between the Notre Dame program and its star running back. It was fantastic that he decided to come back to South Bend. It's unfortunate his season got cut short by the College Football Playoff snub.
