While Malachi Fields is getting ready to take on the next level of opponents in the NFL, he thinks one Notre Dame teammate has helped make him a better player. He also thinks Leonard Moore doesn't need to work much to be better, because he's already one of, if not the, best player in the game.

"You know, every day that I lined up against him, I was going to get his best," Fields said about Moore during the receiver's media day at the NFL Combine. "And I believe he's the best in the country."

"So I think being able to compete against him and sharpen my skills made me aware of what to expect, what to look for, and just talking to him, how he understands routes and stuff like that," Fields continued about his Notre Dame teammate. "What goes through his mind and kind of checklist as a corner has been huge."

Malachi Fields says Notre Dame football's Leonard Moore is already the best in the country

It's clear that Fields believes that Moore already has the talent to play at the next level. He even thinks that one of the reasons he was able to show the NFL that the receiver is someone worth drafting, maybe even in the first round, according to some Mock Drafts, is because he was going up against Moore.

He's known the defensive back was good when the two were on opposite sides. He didn't really just how good until he was able to practice alongside and against him on a daily basis.

Leonard Moore is likely to be another big prospect coming out of Notre Dame when it's his turn to appear at the NFL Combine.
