On Saturday night, the Notre Dame football team will face off against an old rival in the Navy Midshipmen. While the Fighting Irish are expected to be able to handle the American Conference team quite easily, there is always going to be a chance that the service academy finds a way to make this difficult and even pull off the upset.

Even several of the Irish's best players understand that they have to be wary. The kind of offense that Navy runs can "mess with your head" and hide the football. Of course, with a playoff spot squarely in their sights, Marcus Freeman's squad needs to make sure they don't let up like they did against Boston College. It's all about the style points now, and certainly they have to win out.

Notre Dame vs Navy final odds

Clearly, Las Vegas believes the Fighting Irish will find a way to figure out Navy's offense. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Freeman's squad is almost a four-touchdown favorite as they sit -27.5 on Saturday morning.

Notre Dame needs to figure out that offense and get its own offense going early and often. After a less-than-impressive win over Boston College last week, another bad showing might see them get bumped down in the College Football Playoffs ranking.

The total is set at 55.5 right now, which means that FanDuel is looking for a 49-7 type score. That would be perfectly fine with Fighting Irish fans.

Notre Dame football vs Navy prediction

It seems unlikely that Marcus Freeman will allow his squad to come in and look as sloppy as they did last week. Expect them to be fired up and ready to go.
