The Notre Dame football team has had a bit of a tough week of recruiting. However, things might be getting beter in the very near future.

That’s because after losing out on two different prospects they were hoping to land, one of the Irish’s top defensive back targets is reportedly leaning towards Marcus Freeman and company.

On Wednesday evening, On3 analyst Mike Singer entered a prediction for the Notre Dame football team to land 3-star safety Nick Reddish. Reddish, hailing from North Carolina, is slated to visit South Bend in June, but it’s possible he’ll pull the trigger before then.

The Charlotte resident seems to have a special place in his heart for Indiana schools, as 247Sports believes he’s leaning a bit towards the Indiana Hoosiers, however, no one on that site has yet put in a Crystal Ball for him to commit to the Big Ten school.

So how are the Irish going to be pulling the rabbit out of a hat for Reddish? It looks like they pressed on the academic button and he’s liked what he saw.

“Notre Dame has stood out because of the education that they are offering and the networking that you can get when you go there,” Reddish said earlier this month.

Nick Reddish is slated to take a visit to the Notre Dame football team on June 13. He’s also slated to check out Virginia Tech the week before. It will be interesting to see if that schedule holds or whether there might be some new plans in the works.
