The Notre Dame football team is anxiously awaiting the arrival on campus of 2027 quarterback Teddy Jarrard. However, before he plays a snap for the Fighting Irish, he's got business to take care of for his high school team. And boy, is Jarrard taking care of business.
On Thursday night, Jarrard led his North Cobb teammates to a blowout win that essentially ended fellow Georgia high school Etowah's season. In the process, the Notre Dame commit and his teammates set a school record as they scored a whopping 70 points.

Jarrard completed 16 of 22 passes for 302 yards and three touchdowns, and he did so with Notre Dame quarterbacks coach Gino Guidugli in attendance. Jarrard's touchdowns came from 36, 31, and 2 yards.

"Those kinds of nights are fun," North Cobb coach Shane Queen said after the 70-21 win. "Our seniors got to play a lot, and our guys executed. Teddy threw for over 300 yards, and our offensive line looked great. We scored a lot of points in different ways, too, so we just have to continue to work."
The Fighting Irish need to wait a while before Jarrard will be able to do that for them. However, both they and the talented quarterback are more than a little excited to join forces on the field finally.
Jarrard talked about his commitment when he paid a visit to South Bend last month, and it's clear he's happy with his decision. "It was great," he told Irish Sports Daily. βIt's actually very similar to what I do in high school right now with the RPO system and all that. So I thought it was great. It's what I had envisioned for the offense."
