On the heels of USC canceling the rivalry series against Notre Dame, the Trojans have begun chirping to a weird degree. Most programs might understand that, if they're constantly trolling schools they lose to more often than not as well as literally running away from them, is a bad look. Not Lincoln Riley and former Irish staffer Chad Bowden. They think chirping after they dodged schools is the way to go, apparently.
The latest example of this came in a full two-minute video, which plays on Notre Dame's "think big" video, with Boden himself offering the voice-over. The theme is "think bigger" because apparently USC can't come up with its own recruiting slogan.
USC keeps poking Notre Dame with a stick

A previous USC troll video was quite a bit more vague. After winning a recruiting battle with Notre Dame, the Trojans released a shorter video showing someone spray-painting grass red, with the caption, "guess the grass wasn't greener." The message was vague enough that several schools thought it was aimed at them. This new video is clearly taking a shot at the Golden Domers.
The USC fixation continues to be odd, considering the Trojans made sure this rivalry can't be settled on the field. When the series with ND fell apart, USC officials even admitted they were the ones to back away.
USC has a serious case of little brother syndrome with Notre Dame

The Trojans are firing shots at Notre Dame with a remake of Notre Dame's 'Think Big' video and a voiceover from Chad Bowden saying "Think Bigger." USC also takes digs at ND, Oregon and UCLA with license plate messages. https://t.co/D0nxZh4az7 pic.twitter.com/pxdxE8JxMS
The trolling is even stranger considering the Fighting Irish won the last three games in the series. Notre Dame also holds a 51-37 series edge historically.
One could certainly argue that the Trojans are scoring some troll points with these posts. They are admittedly clever.
The problem is that the posts, while running away from Notre Dame, looks like a rather pathetic case of Little Brother Syndrome. If the Trojans plan to continue making these kinds of social media posts, they should consider bringing the series back so the two teams can settle things on the field.
