The Seattle Seahawks proved that defense wins championships, as their defense was truly stifling for the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX. The Seahawks used their defense and a slightly better offense to win and bring home the Lombardi Trophy.
Notre Dame fans saw two familiar faces on the Seahawks defense with defensive tackle Rylie Mills and defensive back Julian Love. Mills is now a Super Bowl Champion in his first season in the NFL, and Love wins his first ring in his seventh year in the league.
Both Mills and Love played big parts in Seattle's dominant defensive showing as Mills got his first career NFL sack and Love came up with an interception that helped put the dagger in the Patriots' attempt at a comeback.

Mills had probably the best bull rush of his first NFL season, truly just getting through the defense like a hot knife through butter. Patriots quarterback Drake Maye was harassed all night by the Seahawks pass rush, and Mills made sure to get in on the fun.
The fourth quarter ended up being the most exciting part of the game for those who love offense. Both teams were able to find the end zone, and the Patriots were figuring out small ways through the Seahawks' defense.
However, the comeback started a bit too late as Seattle still found ways to make plays defensively. Love was able to track an underthrown ball by Maye with a little under nine minutes left in the fourth quarter and returned it 35 yards to set up the Seahawks field position.

Notre Dame can now add two more players to the list of now Super Bowl Champions. Mills and Love may have had two different careers so far, with the young Mills getting his ring in his rookie season, but Love was able to be a big part of a Seahawks defense that didn't relent all season long.
