Now that the Notre Dame football team had its first two players taken in the 2025 NFL Draft, it’s time to get the rest of the guys to go. With Saturday being the final day and four rounds long, it’s a safe bet that more Irish players will indeed get plucked.
According to Pro Football Focus, there are still four Golden Domers who are left in their Top 100 players still available. That could mean that we’ll see some former ND stars join Xavier Watts and Benjamin Morrison quickly.
Four Notre Dame players who could make noise on the final day of the NFL Draft
Right at the top of the list of best still available, is a bit of a surprise. Former Notre Dame football star Riley Leonard is considered the No. 38 best player still out there. That he’s the best of what’s left of the Irish shows that it’s possible the dual-threat quarterback is starting to look a bit more attractive to NFL teams. That’s despite there still being plenty of concerns over his arm consistency.
Following Leonard is linebacker Jack Kiser, who is the No. 59 player in the “best left available” rankings by the site. He is also No. 152 on the PFF big board which has him roughly going in the 5th round.
Shortly behind Kiser is tight end Mitchell Evans, who could be a heck of a steal of the draft. He’s the No. 69 left and is No. 166 on the big board. The biggest knock against him is his ability to stay healthy and if he can do that, he could be a very good NFL tight end.
Finally, defensive end RJ Oben sneaks into the Top 100 left available. After just one season in South Bend, Oben didn’t have a great campaign. However, he did announce his presence with authority in the playoffs. His physical presence has made him attractive to some teams as a late round flyer.
This list does leave at least two talented former Notre Dame football players who are likely looking at signing as undrafted free agents in Rylie Mills and Howard Cross III.
