It seems like no more than a couple days can pass by without Marcus Freeman and Notre Dame reeling in another big-time pledge. Yup, the Irish have been on a heater thus far in May and even more breaking news could be coming soon with a four-star defensive tackle prospect Freeman would love to have.
Notre Dame just gave its loudest critics fresh ammo for the near future
That'd be standout playmaker Brayden Parks, who has been quite high on the Fighting Irish for a little while. There's certainly plenty of buzz surrounding his name, as On3 insider Steve Wiltfong just logged his official prediction for the 6-1, 308-pounder to give Freeman the news he's hoping for. Could a final decision be around the corner?

4-star DT Brayden Parks has been predicted to commit to Notre Dame and Marcus Freeman
It goes without saying, but this is massive news for the Irish and fans have every right to be optimistic about things. Normally when Wiltfong delivers a prediction like this, it doesn't take long for an announcement to follow. And if Parks, a standout for Brother Rice High in Chicago, does commit to the Irish, it will add to what's already a brilliant 2027 class ND has going.
According to the 247Sports Composite, the Notre Dame target is ranked four stars, the No. 19 defensive lineman in the country and No. 172 player nationally overall. Throughout his recruitment, he has picked up scholarship offers from Notre Dame, Illinois, Miami, Ohio State, Oregon and many others - in total, he has 40 tenders to his name.
As of this writing, Freeman has picked up 17 commits for the '27 haul, highlighted of course by the recent pledge from 5-star New Jersey offensive tackle Oluwasemilore Olubobola. This month alone too, Notre Dame has picked up seven new commits. Will Parks end up being No. 8 on that list?
Yup, thus far in May, Olubobola, Jackson Hill, Jackson Coleman, Titus Hawk, Wonderful Monds, Aidan O'Neil and David Folorunsho have revealed that they're going to be South Bend-bound. With official visit season around the corner too for Notre Dame, even more verbals are going to start rolling in too.
For now, there's going to be a lot of attention on Parks, as it's clear the Irish are giving him a lot to think about. With so many powerhouses chasing him too, it's only going to make Notre Dame potentially landing him even better here. Freeman has been on a heater of late and things could get even better for him if Parks joins the party. He's 100 percent on commit watch moving forward.
