Notre Dame is after yet another top-tier pass catcher for the Class of 2026 this weekend, as tight end Preston Fryzel has been added to the official visit list for this weekend. Notre Dame is set to host 13 official visitors this weekend, now including Fryzel.
Fryzel is not just considering Notre Dame, but also Iowa and Miami for his commitment. Notre Dame insider Mike Singer is predicting that the Fighting Irish should be able to land the impressive 3-star pass-catcher that is ranked as the No. 39 tight end in the class and the No. 29 prospect in Ohio. Fryzel plans on also having an official visit with Iowa a week after visiting South Bend.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pound tight end has already visited South Bend once before, just over a week ago on an unofficial visit after receiving his scholarship offer from head coach Marcus Freeman back on May 21. The trip clearly left a good impression as Fryzel quickly got an official visit on the books.
I like Notre Dame to land Toledo (Ohio) Central Catholic TE Preston Fryzel, who is officially visiting this weekend 👀☘️

3-star tight end Preston Frzyel had a visit he won't forget at Notre Dame
Notre Dame has been on a tear in recruiting as of late, and this commitment would be huge. Fryzel will have his official visit to South Bend this weekend, but his visit last week seemed to be a good one, as the young Ohio native told On3's Steve Wiltfong.
"I had a great time in South Bend," Fryzel said. "Definitely a visit I won't forget. ...What excited me about the Irish is how they use their tight ends and how they plan to use me in their offense."
Frzyel even went as far as to say that Notre Dame is a strong contender in his recruitment. Not only are Iowa and Miami in the running, but Fryzel also had an official visit with Duke last weekend and an unofficial visit with Miami earlier in June.
The 3-star tight end said he does not plan to make any decisions about his recruitment until his official visits are over and he has time to truly decide.
