Notre Dame's first official depth chart answers questions about position battles

With the first game of the season rapidly approaching this week, fans are holding onto any piece of information released. The latest piece of information to be released is the official depth chart for Week 1 against the Miami Hurricanes.

Even though the quarterback battle had been decided with Marcus Freeman selecting CJ Carr as the starter for Week 1. however, the depth chart showed who else would be starting and who the backups would be, answering questions of some position battles happening during fall camp.

A few of those battles to note were the right guard battle, which apparently was not able to be fully decided, as it seems Notre Dame could use both Guerby Lampert and Sullivan Absher throughout the season. Jalen Stroman will also be the starting safety in the backfield, and Boubacar Traore, Donovan Hinish, Jason Onye, and Bryce Young will make up the new defensive line.
