EA Sports is really just fueling the fire of the Notre Dame-Navy rivalry.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have been featured now on both the EA Sports College Football 26 cover with Jeremiyah Love throwing up his signature heart with his hands signal, and now the Fighting Irish, more specifically Love, is featured yet again in the official game trailer.

Both Love and head coach Marcus Freeman are featured in the trailer, but Love's feature will make Notre Dame fans very happy.

Love in the trailer can be seen running the ball and absolutely trucking a Navy defensive player and continuing his rush down the field. With the long-standing rivalry between Notre Dame and Navy, this can't make Navy fans very happy, but Fighting Irish fans can revel in the hit and now watch it over and over and over again.

Jeremiyah Love can be a game changer for the Fighting Irish this season

Notre Dame made it to the mountaintop last season, but they fell short just a few steps of planting their flag on top of college football. Sorry, maybe we shouldn't talk about flag planting, might make Ohio State fans pretty mad.

Either way, Notre Dame proved they can be the team they have always claimed to be, and Love is going to help the Fighting Irish get back to that mountaintop. Love, even dealing with an injury late in the season, finished the season with 1,125 rushing yards and 17 rushing touchdowns, averaging 6.9 yards per carry. Love was also effective in the passing game with 237 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns, averaging 8.5 yards per catch.

With a new quarterback and a new offense going into this next season, Love will be the main constant coming back for Notre Dame in 2025, so his ability to run the ball and big yardage on first down will be huge for Freeman's offense and the new quarterback.

If Love can pull off a couple of hits like the one he had in the EA Sports College Football 26 trailer, he certainly could be one of college football's top players in the 2025 season.
