Just like it was last year, every game from here on out for the Notre Dame football team is a playoff game. The Irish need to win out to make the playoffs, and even if they do win out, 10-2 doesn't guarantee they make the field. That's a worry for another day. This afternoon, the concern is beating a Boise State team that's in a similar situation.

The Broncos lost their season opener to South Florida and now have to win out and get a little help. So far, so good as Boise State has won three straight games, and it knows it can make a strong case with an upset today.

Despite the Mountain West power being 3-1 on the season, Notre Dame is a heavy, heavy favorite. Analysts expect CJ Carr and company to march up and down the field, and with the apparent return of Leonard Moore, there's an expectation that the Irish defense will be better than it has been.

Notre Dame vs Boise State final odds

According to FanDuel SportsBook, Vegas has pegged ND as 20.5-point favorites on Saturday afternoon. That's the biggest spread of the season for Marcus Freeman and Co.

Interestingly, the total for this game has gone down a few points; Moore's upgrade from questionable to probable may be the reason why that slight shift happened.

Notre Dame football vs Boise State predictions

Last week, it felt like the Irish were in for a fight, and they ended up running Arkansas off the field. This week, ND is supposed to win big, and it might end up a slugfest.

Notre Dame football beats Boise State 45-28.
