The Notre Dame Fighting Irish basketball team has been making a big push on the recruiting front lately. Part of that push is getting a brand new offer to in-state big man, Tre Singleton. Now that the offer is out there, it’s time for Micah Shrewsberry and company to turn up the heat.

Singleton is a 3-star power forward out of Jeffersonville in the 2025 class who is getting attention from some of the better programs in the country. Among the top schools Notre Dame will have to fight off are Louisville, Clemson and Butler.

Tre Singleton also represents a renewed push by the Notre Dame Fighting Irish when it comes to in-state talent. He’s among several offers for kids in Indiana like Braylon Mullins. Shrewsberry knows it’s a bit harder to lock Indiana down in basketball than football, but he’s giving it the old college try.

The 6-foot-8, 215-pound big man comes in as the No. 10 prospect in the state of Indiana, and the No. 50 power forward in the class per 247Sports' in-house rankings. The 247Sports Composite tabs him as the No. 219 recruiting in the 2025 cycle.

Singleton put together a productive junior campaign for Jeffersonville this past season. In 27 games, he averaged 14.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal, and shot 60.8 percent from the field according to MaxPreps.

In addition to some big programs already being in the race, Notre Dame now has Wake Forest and Xavier on the list of potential competitors.

Shrewsberry certainly has his work cut out for him if he wants to land this talented power forward. However, he’s also got the benefit of not needing to go far, and not needing Singleton to go far in order to see what South Bend has to offer.
