The Notre Dame football team is expected to have a very quiet National Signing Day on Wednesday. In fact, there isn’t expected to be another signing for the 2024 class as Marcus Freeman and company are very much done.

Having completed their recruiting for the 2024 cycle back in December, the Fighting Irish turned their focus to the 2025 class and that focus appears to be leading to very good results. Right at the top of the list when talking about positive side effects is apparently 4-star safety JaDon Blair.

247Sports analyst Tom Loy entered a Crystal Ball for Blair on Tuesday evening and the recruiting expert believes that the Winston Salem (NC) Mount Tabor prospect has a heavy lean towards landing in South Bend.

That Notre Dame football has found a way to rise to the top of the hill for the 6-foot-4, 190-pounder, when he is closing in on 30 offers, is extra impressive.  Blair is getting pursued by the the likes of Florida State, Duke, Temple, Georgia Tech, Louisville, LSU, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Penn State and many others.

In his junior season, JaDon Blair totaled 35 tackles, an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He was also a weapon for his Mount Tabor crew in Winston Salem, North Carolina. While he shone on defense most of the time, he also hauled down 6 passes for 132 yards.

He usually took it to the house when Mount Tabor turned to him on offense. 4 of his 6 catches went for touchdowns.

In his sophomore 2022 season he actually recorded more tackles, perhaps showing offenses didn’t know to stay away from him just yet. In his first season of high school football, he recorded 48 tackles.

The Notre Dame football team got a monster offensive tackle in Owen Strebig on Thursday. Is it possible they’re going to land an uber-talented defensive back in the near future? It’s looking that way to recruiting experts.
