Notre Dame football on the verge of landing Las Vegas star receiver
The Notre Dame football team has had quite the run when it comes to recruiting in the 2024 and 2025 classes. It looks like the run could be continuing to one particular Las Vegas Bishop Gorman receiver who happens to be among the best in the current cycle.
It’s not hard to notice why the Irish would be quite interested in Derek Meadows. Even in an era where tall receivers are getting more numerous, finding someone who stands 6-foot-5 and still move with speed and grace comes at a premium.
So when one of the top recruiting analyst in the country put in a Crystal Ball for Meadows to go to Notre Dame, its a safe bet that followers got quite excited. That Meadows is one of the most sought after receivers in the country and the Irish look like they’ll be adding him to a talented stable is quite the added bonus.
247Sports Tom Loy put in a Crystal Ball for Meadows on Saturday afternoon after taking in the events at a Battle Miami 7-on-7 tournament. It’s worth mentioning that Loy isn’t someone who puts in that many Crystal Balls and so far in 2024, when he does, he’s been right on.
Loy is currently 11-for-11 when he’s making these kinds of predictions in 2024. All time, he’s got an 80 percent accuracy rate. With that kind of rate, the question now is just how long Marcus Freeman and company will have to wait before Meadows pulls the trigger.
Notre Dame football looking to land talented Las Vegas wide receiver
Meadows is oddly under the radar, despite being a 4-star prospect and the 112th-ranked player in the class. In addition to the Fighting Irish, he also has offers from Iowa State, BYU, Colorado State, Maryland, Michigan State, Nevada and UNLV.
Meadows would be quite the pickup for the Notre Dame football team who have quite a few commits in the 2025 class, but not a single receiver so far.
