After months of waiting and watching and wondering, Notre Dame football fans, and really college football fans who are also gamers got some very good news earlier this week. The first official teaser for EA Sports College Football 25 dropped.

In that drop, Electronic Arts let it be known that the game is still coming this summer. That had been a concern because the company had been so quiet about the return of such a beloved video game series. The teaser trailer also announced that the game is getting an official and full reveal in May.

There was one other thing that was shown in that teaser that should be of very great interest for Notre Dame football fans. The trailer confirmed that the Fighting Irish are going to be in the game. The teaser also showed that Marcus Freeman and company are still considered among the best programs in the sport.

It wasn’t a ton of info. The trailer showed a few flashes and nods toward to Notre Dame football. But it was enough to confirm that the Fighting Irish are going to be in the game. That’s big enough news considering that there was a question of their inclusion.

In fact, there were early reports when the game was first announced, that Notre Dame football would not be included. It’s hard to imagine a college football game could be as good as it has the potential to be without the Golden Domers in the game.

The trailer goes through a few of the most relished views in the sport. That included the Rose Bowl and USC and Michigan. It also showed off players slapping the sign. And the Fighting Irish marching band.

So far, there isn’t any real clue on what EA Sports College Football 25 will look like. But we know who will be in it. We know EA wants to stick to ultra-realism. And that’s good enough until May. Hopefully, then we’ll get to see Notre Dame football in the game.
